A region that had been taken over by the Dominion, which housed a massive sensor array there, capable of monitoring ship movements over five sectors, giving the Dominion an enormous tactical advantage. The cluster features gravimetric distortions that cause a shear which can cut ships to pieces; however, the Defiant was able to go through the cluster and destroy the sensor array.
