PlacesSection 1: Bajor (Places on Bajor and in Bajoran space)
Bajor
A Class M world, the largest in its system of 14 planets. It has at least 5 moons -- the 4th is Derna, and the 5th is Jeraddo. (Note: In "The Nagus", it was stated that Bajor has three moons.) Bajor has greenish seas and 26-hour days. It has been stated at different times to be 3 hours or 5 hours from DS9 -- this is probably due to the fact that it orbits a sun, while DS9 is stationary.
Bajor VIIBajor was accepted for Federation membership, and the signing ceremony was about to take place on DS9, when Sisko interrupted after his Orb vision, saying that it was too soon, and Bajor would be destroyed by "locusts" unless it stood alone. After this, the Chamber of Ministers voted to delay Federation membership for an unspecified period of time ("Rapture").
Sisko noted in his log that a shuttlepod was lost near its third moon.
Bajor VIII- "Whispers"
A planet in Bajor's system, with two moons. Lursa and B'Etor were going to rendezvous at the lower moon with Tahna Los, who later threatened to destroy Bajor VIII's six colonies.

- "Necessary Evil", "The Alternate"
Bajoran Fire Caverns
A natural wonder on Bajor, to which Sisko had planned to take Jake during the 2369 Gratitude Festival.
- "The Nagus"
Also called the Fire Caves. Bajoran legend tells that the pah-wraiths were imprisoned there in crystal fire cages after being banished from the Celestial Temple. Keiko O'Brien visited there and became possessed by one of them.
- "The Assignment"
Dukat and Kai Winn went there in order to free the pah-wraiths. There was no actual fire until Winn read some ritual words out of the Text of the Kosst Amojan.
Bajoran outback- "What You Leave Behind"
Sisko went there with Kasidy on one of his rare leaves. The trip was originally Jake's idea, but he opted out in favor of writing.
Batal- "The Muse"
Site of a labor camp where the real Anjohl Tennan had died in 2366.
Bestri Woods- "The Changing Face of Evil"
A place on Bajor where Kira was on a mission when she accidentally killed a mother hara cat.
B'Hala- "Second Skin"
A famous, sacred lost city on Bajor, for which archaeologists had been searching for 10,000 years. The only proof it ever existed was a 20,000-year-old painting, which was stolen by the Cardassians during the Occupation but finally returned in 2373. It is considered the most important Bajoran icon ever painted. Sisko found B'Hala after studying a holosuite recreation of the city's bantaca spire, depicted in the painting. He afterwards had a vision in which it had been rebuilt.

- "Favor the Bold"
Deep Space Nine
Abbreviated DS9, a space station built in 2351 to Cardassian design with Bajoran labor. Its original purpose was to orbit Bajor and serve as a military outpost and mining facility. The station was known as Terok Nor until 2369, when the Cardassians withdrew; it was taken over by Starfleet, at the request of the Bajoran provisional government. After the discovery of a nearby stable wormhole, it was moved near the wormhole's entrance to monitor traffic through it. The station is shaped like a wheel, composed of a docking ring with six upper and lower pylons (18 docking bays in all) a habitat ring, and a core section, all connected by three "spokes". There are about 300 permanent residents, although the station has a capacity of 7000. During the first season, at least, 5 or 6 ships usually docked there per week. There were over 900 Starfleet officers stationed there in 2375.
Note: The bulk of "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night" takes place on a "nearly completed" Terok Nor in 2346.
Denorios BeltA charged plasma field in the Bajoran system, avoided by ships until 2369. Kai Taluno is said to have had a "vision" there in the 22nd century. 5 of the nine Orbs were found there, as was Odo. In 2369, Sisko and Dax investigated the area and discovered the wormhole.
