Supervised O'Brien's processing on his arrest. (Note: Julian Christopher is listed in the credits for the episode, but I've never been able to find out if he played the Cardassian in charge of O'Brien's interrogation, or the Maquis agent who talked to Bashir in the infirmary. The IMDb isn't any help; it lists him as "Clerk", whoever that's supposed to be.)

Six years later, his file clerk, Marritza, posed as Darhe'el, but was discovered partly because he had Kalla-Nohra syndrome, which Darhe'el never contracted, having been away on Cardassia receiving the Proficient Service Medallion at the time of the mining accident that caused the disease.
Dejar (Jessica Hendra)- "Duet"
A Cardassian woman who joined Ulani and Gilora to help set up a communications relay through the wormhole. Dejar was actually an observer from the Obsidian Order. Dejar was unmasked by Gilora.

The main Cardassian political authority, which nominally controls Central Command and the Obsidian Order. The system had worked for over five centuries, according to Dukat. Later, Garak told a different story: Garak had let the prisoners go. Later, Garak told still another story: he and Elim were the feared "Sons of Tain", highly regarded officers of the Obsidian Order, who betrayed each other over a scandal involving escaped prisoners, resulting in Garak's exile. Finally, when Bashir asked Tain about Elim, Tain told him that Elim is Garak's first name.

A Cardassian; a member of the Obsidian Order who kidnapped Kira and had her surgically altered, then tried to convince her that she was actually Iliana Ghemor, a Cardassian who had been under deep cover as a Bajoran to spy on the rebel movement. In 2361, she went under deep cover, surgically altered and with implanted memories, to serve as a spy on Bajor's rebel movement. Ten years later, Entek kidnapped Kira, altered her appearance, and tried to convince her that she was Iliana. In reality, presumably Iliana is still on Bajor, believing herself Bajoran.
- "Second Skin"
Bajoran Security was still looking for her, but had found no leads.
Legate Tekeny Ghemor (Lawrence Pressman)- "Ties of Blood and Water"
Once a member of the Cardassian Central Command. At 19, he had been in the military less than a year when he was present at the massacre of the Kiessa monastery on Bajor. Later, he had a daughter, Iliana, who became a member of the Obsidian Order and went under deep cover on Bajor. Correctly suspecting Ghemor to be involved in the dissident movement, Entek convinced him that Kira was Ghemor's daughter Iliana, in hopes that Ghemor would use his dissident contacts to try to save her. After figuring this out, Kira was rescued; Ghemor escaped as well, and later took sanctuary on Mathenite.
- "Second Skin"
Ghemor, who had become a leading opponent of the Cardassian/Dominion alliance, came to DS9 and told Kira he was dying of Yarim-Fel syndrome; he wanted her to carry his secrets, which included information potentially damaging to Dukat's new government. Although Marritza protested that he had been a mere file clerk, it was learned that he was actually none other than the camp's commander, Gul Darhe'el. However, finally the real truth came out: he really was a file clerk named Marritza, who had had his face altered to resemble Darhe'el's because he hoped that his trial and execution would force his people to acknowledge their atrocities against Bajor. As he was leaving after his release, Marritza was stabbed to death by a Bajoran named Kainon.

Obsidian Order- "Ties of Blood and Water"
The elite intelligence organization of the Cardassian Empire. Garak was once a high-ranking member of it. They were forbidden to have military equipment, including ships, but evidence suggested they were mounting a buildup in the Orias system in 2371.

This was a plot to embarrass Pa'Dar. Although Rugal hated Cardassians as much as any Bajoran, he was sent home with Pa'Dar.

In "The Wire", Tain was living in retirement on Arawath when he was visited by Bashir, who sought information on Garak's implant so that he could remove it. Tain helped Bashir so that Garak could live a long, miserable life.
A year later, in "Improbable Cause"/"The Die is Cast", Tain attempted to stage a comeback by destroying the Founders' homeworld with an Obsidian Order/Tal Shiar fleet. First, though, he had several old proteges murdered to protect his secrets; Garak would have been one. Tain was presumed killed in the fleet's ensuing destruction; but actually he survived, and was imprisoned by the Dominion.
However, in "In Purgatory's Shadow", he managed to send a signal indicating he was alive, but by the time Garak got to him in the Dominion prison, he was dying of unspecified heart trouble. Tain expired after finally acknowledging Garak as his son.

The name of DS9 under the Cardassians. It is still known by that name in the mirror universe.

Dukat insisted on calling DS9 by this name when he and Weyoun took it over.
Third Battalion of the First Order- "Call to Arms"
A Cardassian battalion legendary for their fanaticism; their motto is/was "Death to all". There was a detachment on Empok Nor, three members of which were the subjects of test treatments with a psychotropic drug used to heighten their racial xenophobia. It was guessed that they had become uncontrollable and were thus left in stasis.
Third Order- "Empok Nor"
A military order of which Gul Yotar is a member.
Thrax (Kurtwood Smith)- "Image in the Sand"
A Cardassian, Odo's immediate predecessor as security chief on Terok Nor. When Sisko, Odo, Dax, and Garak were seemingly thrown back to the Occupation in the roles of Bajorans, at first they deduced that they were at least nine years back in time, due to Thrax's presence; but later clues indicated that they were only seven years back, when Odo was on the station. In fact, the experience was a mental flashback of Odo's; his mind cast Thrax in the role of himself (Odo) during that time period.

Gul Toran (Edward Wiley)
An old acquaintance of Garak's. He ordered Garak to kill Rekelen and Hogue, with the incentive of regaining his status with Central Command. As Garak was about to do so, Toran showed up intending to kill Rekelen and Hogue himself, along with Garak. Garak shot him instead.
Gul Toran- "Profit and Loss"
Of the 6th Order, in the Almathan sector; commander of outpost 61. Obviously a different individual than the Gul Toran in "Profit and Loss".
Gul Trepar- "Defiant"
Head of the 4th Order, and probably Dukat's most powerful enemy, according to Ghemor. He was once Dukat's superior, and now resented taking orders from him.
The True Way- "Ties of Blood and Water"
A Cardassian separatist group opposed to the peace treaty with Bajor, who blamed Cardassia's economic and political troubles on the Federation. They claimed responsibility for the destruction of the Orinoco -- their first actual terrorist action.
- "Our Man Bashir"
The True Way later assassinated two Bajoran officials, and planned to assassinate Shakaar; their operative was arrested by Worf.
Legate Turrel (Andrew Prine)- "Crossfire"
A member of Cardassian Central Command, with whom Vedek Bareil and Kai Winn were negotiating a peace treaty between Bajor and Cardassia. He tried to get Winn to cede all Cardassian property left on Bajor in exchange for reparations, a proposal which Bareil told Winn he had already rejected. Eventually, however, Turrel signed the treaty.

Apparently a Cardassian agent on Bajor, surgically altered to appear Bajoran. He told Kira he remembered sharing a cell with her at Elemspur. Later it seemed he was the one who falsified the records to show that she had been there.
zabu meat -- See under Food and Beverages.- "Second Skin"
Gul Zarale
A gul responsible for massacring six Bajoran villages. Li Nalas was said to have heroically killed him in single combat. Actually, as Li confessed to Sisko, he had caught Zarale bathing in a river and shot him before the underwear-clad Cardassian could react.
